XCSoar 524A 8/14/2009

This version is an unofficial version of XCSoar that demonstrates a design change to the way that waypoints are selected and displayed and that tasks are saved.

The purpose of posting these files is to gain feedback from XCSoar users on the usability of the designs.

Feedback about the design items below should be posted to the XCSoar Users newsgroup

Specific changes that were changed about the Select Waypoints and related screens:
GUI STUFF:
1) In Select Waypoint and Airspace screens:
    * added Keyboard popup to Name filter
    * added popup Distance, Bearing and Type filters
    * spaced the rows further apart to make selecting more "fat-finger-friendly"
    * resized the columns so they don't overlap the scrollbar

2) Made the keyboard text input screens QWERT and added more chars (see both portrait and landscape)

3) In the Edit Task screen:
    * removed the [Advanced] button and added a [Save] and [Save As] buttons
    * made the [Load] button load the task with one click

4) Enlarged all popup windows to cover the whole screen.  The idea here is that (a) the space is better used, and (b) it allows the pilot to more easily and quickly complete the dialog (e.g. Setup Wind)

NON-GUI STUFF
* enabled the PDA version to optionally run from an SD Card and access the data files from /SDCard/XCSoarData (just like the PNA version does)
